Spring Faire update

If the sunny weather was making you want to get outside and garden (and yes, if you live outside of the Portland area we actually had two days of sun!) we have just the items to make your yard fun and beautiful.  From laurels, arborvitaes, cypress, shrubs, perennials to ground covers Susie will be joining us and sharing her expertise.  Pacific Slope is her family owned business and along with her 71 year young Dad and occasional other family members they do all of the propagating, fertilizing, and planting on their 20 acres of nursery stock.   She looks forward to helping you find just the right plants for your home and garden.

We have vendors from all over the state of Oregon but no one as far away as Angela from Kauai.   When Jen, her daughter, opened up the box of merchandise her mother made for our show she stated it was like a little bit of spring had arrived.  Very nice since the day she received it we had non stop rain.  Bright, gaily Hawaiian fabric purses, organizers, and jewelry bags are just some of her offerings.  All are amazingly stitched with incredible attention to detail.  The first time I saw her work I fell in love with her items and I can't wait for her products to be available at our sale.

Rita has been working with jewelry on and off for 25 years.  She states that nature itself offers endless inspiration in color and patterns.  One of her strong commitments is that her elegant, enticing or just plain fun jewelry is always comfortable to wear as well.  If a piece doesn't feel good when you have it on then will you continue to wear it?  We like her philosophy and look forward to her newest items!

Who says we can't add a bit of whimsy to our home?  From a metal tool box converted into a chalkboard/magnetic memo board to an old badminton racket made into a place to hang your hat or whatnot, recreating and re-purposing found objects is a passion of mine.  Of course many of my found treasures will be available for your own twist on thinking outside of the box home and garden decor.  Don't worry if you feel you don't have one ounce of creativity, we have endless ideas and many of our items look good just sitting there waiting to be a conversation starter.

Don't forget April 27th and 28th!  Make room in your car to tote home some of our colorful furniture, garden items and home decor pieces.  Our Spring Fair is just around the corner!

Spring Fair Update

It's hard to believe that our Spring Fair is just around the corner!   We wanted to send out a reminder that April 27th and 28th are dates to remember!

We have added more vendors!

Looking for just the right card to give to your mom for Mother's Day?  Or perhaps a word of encouragement to your friend or family member?  Emily has been creating unique designs for several years.  Her speciality is in utilitzing vintage advertising from old magazines circa 1940's and 50's.
For those of you that remember those days, the ads for cosmetics, women's underwear and over the counter pharmaceuticals were often hilarious.  Add in Emily's own brand of humor to make these cards clever and definitely one of a kind.  One's that will make even the get well card receiver smile!  Emily  will have a selection of more traditional styles too.

Speaking of paper products, not only will be have an assortment of handcrafted paper products, such as notebooks to choose from we will also be offering vintage paper epherma for those of you that enjoy creating your own.  These items would be great for scrapbookers, steampunkers or just framing!

An assortment of items will be available to dress up your walls both inside and outside.  Brenda has been busy framing, sewing and creating a myriad of items and always brings a huge assortment of goods all lavishly created and offered at ridiculously inexpensive prices!  She loves to craft and loves to shop.  Two things that she does extremely well.  The fact that she also loves to share makes us all the lucky recipients.

Jan has been sewing and/or using fabric in one form or another for more than 45 years.  Items like storage crates with padded fabric covers to sit on for your outdoor gardening chores to reuseable lunch wraps and fabric orgami wallets are her specialty.  She is always looking for some new type of project to work on and we look forward to all of her wonderful and expertly created items!  Recently she has been creating dog portraits for pet owners utilizing her custom embroidery designs.  Jan is also an avid quilter and works on costume designs for local theatre productions.

Stay tuned for more......updating with more vendor info this weekend!

Etsy Blog of the Week

This weeks blog of the week is Erin's Awesome Blog. Today she is featuring a blog on Life is a Countdown about slowing down and paying attention. She talks about moving and her wedding. The picture she features is from House Beautiful where she draws inspiration from.
She has a lot of recipe features like this one for Paczki and features a lot of blogs on home decor. One of the posts I was reading was about Ironstone, which I had not heard of before. One of the great things about blogging is being introduced to a new idea or item. Check out her blog it is well worth reading.

September-Calling Etsy/Artfire Sellers

I am looking to do a September Giveaway/Sale event for the month of September. Each day I want to showcase a different seller with either a sale, giveaway, or other special treat. I will have my hand crafted Halloween items up then so I am planning to give one of those away, here is a preview although this may not be the piece. I think I will also giveaway one of my jewelry pieces too. I have posted examples of what I am thinking.
If you would like to participate send me an email at
As for promoting this event, I will tweet, post in community and use every resource available.
