If the sunny weather was making you want to get outside and garden (and yes, if you live outside of the Portland area we actually had two days of sun!) we have just the items to make your yard fun and beautiful. From laurels, arborvitaes, cypress, shrubs, perennials to ground covers Susie will be joining us and sharing her expertise. Pacific Slope is her family owned business and along with her 71 year young Dad and occasional other family members they do all of the propagating, fertilizing, and planting on their 20 acres of nursery stock. She looks forward to helping you find just the right plants for your home and garden.
We have vendors from all over the state of Oregon but no one as far away as Angela from Kauai. When Jen, her daughter, opened up the box of merchandise her mother made for our show she stated it was like a little bit of spring had arrived. Very nice since the day she received it we had non stop rain. Bright, gaily Hawaiian fabric purses, organizers, and jewelry bags are just some of her offerings. All are amazingly stitched with incredible attention to detail. The first time I saw her work I fell in love with her items and I can't wait for her products to be available at our sale.
Rita has been working with jewelry on and off for 25 years. She states that nature itself offers endless inspiration in color and patterns. One of her strong commitments is that her elegant, enticing or just plain fun jewelry is always comfortable to wear as well. If a piece doesn't feel good when you have it on then will you continue to wear it? We like her philosophy and look forward to her newest items!
Who says we can't add a bit of whimsy to our home? From a metal tool box converted into a chalkboard/magnetic memo board to an old badminton racket made into a place to hang your hat or whatnot, recreating and re-purposing found objects is a passion of mine. Of course many of my found treasures will be available for your own twist on thinking outside of the box home and garden decor. Don't worry if you feel you don't have one ounce of creativity, we have endless ideas and many of our items look good just sitting there waiting to be a conversation starter.
Don't forget April 27th and 28th! Make room in your car to tote home some of our colorful furniture, garden items and home decor pieces. Our Spring Fair is just around the corner!
